Renata Batteries is switching lithium coin cells to new multi-blister packaging. The previous single blisters will be end of life and will in future be replaced by packs containing two batteries.

The popular CR2016, CR2025 and CR2032 battery types will be available in 4-cell blisters (BL4). The other affected Renata lithium coin cells will be offered in 2-cell blisters (BL2).

The CR2477N is an exception and will continue to be available in the proven single blister (BL1).

The proven Renata quality remains unchanged. At the same time, the larger packaging units result in a lower price per battery compared with the previous single blisters.

The changeover will take place gradually. Individual items may therefore still be temporarily available in their previous packaging.

We would like to thank Gudrun Pressl for many years of working with us and her significant contribution to the success of the company. We celebrated her last working day with a Bavarian breakfast. Tiefenbach. Dr Nina Bauer had invited Josef Heisl to a technical discussion. She runs the family-owned company Hermann Bauer GmbH. Heisl, who was accompanied by Tiefenbach’s mayor, Christian Fürst, began by taking a tour of the office and warehouse. Nina explained how the company had developed from a photographic wholesaler founded by her father, Hermann Bauer, in Obernzell in 1981 into the business it is today. She now runs the company, which specialises in the wholesale in batteries. It all began with Duracell. Later, Varta, Energizer, Panasonic and other well-known brands joining the range. Here, Bauer Batteries – as the company is known in the industry – keeps its full range and can also deliver large quantities from stock. The move to Tiefenbach in 2012, into its own warehouse, was a stroke of luck. There is plenty of space here, which has enabled further growth whilst maintaining maximum stock availability. In 2020, an online shop was launched, where customers can view prices and stock levels. Through service, reliability and speed, Bauer Batteries has built up a reputation over 40 years as a dependable partner among customers and suppliers.
